As a vital member of the school’s support team, you’ll draw upon your expertise as a Counselor, School Counselor, or School Social Worker to foster a positive and inclusive environment. You’ll provide crucial intervention, guidance, and advocacy, helping students manage academic, social, or emotional challenges to maximize their success both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed or certified as a School Counselor, School Adjustment Counselor, or School Social Worker (as required by state standards)
  • Professional experience providing counseling services to school-aged children
  • Familiarity with case management, behavioral interventions, and crisis response in educational settings
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and supporting at-risk or underserved youth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student adjustment and well-being
  • Collaborate with educators, administration, and families to provide a coordinated approach to student support
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings; contribute to the development of personalized plans for students
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to confidentiality standards
