School Counselor – Full-Time School Position | Fort Meyers, Florida | 2026–2027 School Year

Seeking a qualified School Counselor for a full-time school-based position in Florida for the 2026–2027 school year. This opportunity is ideal for a bilingual counselor who is passionate about supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development in a K–8 educational setting.

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Contract Dates: August 10 – May 27
  • Caseload: K–8 students
  • Language Requirement: Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Licensure Requirement: Valid Florida School Counselor License required
  • Pay: $40.19–$45.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Additional Schedule Requirement: Candidates must remain onsite until 6:30 PM twice per month for parent/teacher conferences

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to K–8 students.
  • Support students' academic, social-emotional, and career development needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and school staff to support student success.
  • Assist students with goal setting, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in student support meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Provide guidance and resources to students and families as needed.
  • Maintain accurate counseling documentation while following school, district, and state requirements.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid Florida School Counselor License required.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Experience working as a school counselor in a K–12 setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and their academic and emotional growth.
