Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Completion of a state-approved counselor preparation program
• Eligibility to obtain the required Virginia license or endorsement as mandated by the district
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, career, and social-emotional counseling to students
• Assess and monitor student needs and ongoing progress
• Consult regularly with families, teachers, and other school staff to support student success

• Maintain accurate student records and uphold all confidentiality protocols
