Key Details:
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week
- Full school year commitment
- In-person services required
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Background in school counseling or as a mental health assistant
- Solid clinical skills working with children and adolescents
- Compassion, active listening, and strong communication abilities
- Current licensure/certification in counseling, social work, or mental health therapy (as required by state regulations)
- Experience providing services in a school or youth-focused setting preferred
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions with students
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students who may benefit from additional support
- Develop intervention plans to support students’ academic, emotional, and social success
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school and state requirements
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and referrals, when necessary
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture through advocacy and participation in student support initiatives
