Help support student well-being and growth by providing mental health counseling services in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a licensed Mental Health Therapist eager to make a positive difference in students’ lives through compassionate, in-person support. Located near Loris, SC, you’ll work closely with school staff and families to ensure every student receives the care they need to thrive, dedicating 10-15 hours each week throughout the full school year. This is an in-person only position, offering the chance to build real connections and see the impact of your work firsthand.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
  • Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, School Counselor, or relevant certification
  • Previous experience working with youth or in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to strictly in-person services (remote options are not available at this time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct mental health counseling and crisis intervention to students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, interventions, and progress
  • Offer group counseling sessions and participate in school-wide mental health initiatives
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal standards in school counseling
