Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification/licensure as a school counselor
• Previous counseling experience in elementary or K-12 settings
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to design and implement social-emotional learning programs
• Capacity to manage confidential situations compassionately and professionally
• Flexibility and adaptability within changing school needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students
• Help develop and maintain positive student behavior and emotional health
• Consult with teachers and staff to support student needs
• Serve as an advocate for students’ well-being and academic success
• Conduct crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
• Collaborate with families for student support plans and resources
• Keep accurate records in line with school policies
