Two full-time contract opportunities are available—one at an elementary campus in LaPlace and another at a campus in Garyville. Both assignments offer the chance to work alongside dedicated educational teams committed to fostering academic, social, and emotional success in every child.

You’ll serve onsite, collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive environments for students. If you are a compassionate, proactive counselor eager to promote well-being and personal growth, this role could be an ideal fit.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in School Counseling
• Active School Counselor Certificate
• Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
• Ability to engage and empower diverse student populations
• Preferred but not required: At least three years of successful teaching experience

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Develop and implement school counseling programs in collaboration with school administration and faculty
• Guide students in educational, personal, and social development
• Consult with teachers, parents, and outside professionals regarding student needs
• Assist with conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and prevention programs
• Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with school policies
