Make a positive impact in the lives of students as a school counselor on a contract basis for the 2025-2027 school years. This assignment offers the chance to work across a selection of elementary and middle schools, supporting the academic and emotional well-being of approximately 30 students on various campuses. With a flexible, part-time schedule of 16 hours per week, you can dedicate your expertise where it's needed most, while maintaining work-life balance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Possess a current LPC license in Texas OR are certified as a special education counselor if not LPC-licensed
  • Prior experience in K-8 counseling settings is preferred
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple school campuses
  • Strong skills in counseling, goal-setting, and advocating for student needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and other professionals
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
  • Deep understanding of student developmental stages and social-emotional health

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group counseling to address students’ emotional, social, and academic challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop intervention plans
  • Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff regarding mental health and community supports
  • Document sessions and maintain confidentiality in all student records
  • Travel as needed between up to five campus locations, ensuring continuity of service
  • Contribute to the development of positive school climates and safe learning environments
