In this full-time position, you’ll support students across varying grade levels and needs, covering for maternity leaves for the fall semester. You’ll be onsite, collaborating with colleagues and school leadership to deliver services that promote student well-being and safety.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required
  • Valid Texas School Counselor Certificate issued by SBEC. Acceptable certificates include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist (LP), or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
  • Previous experience in a school-based counseling role preferred
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a caseload of 75-85 students
  • Familiarity with Behavior Threat Assessments and interventions across K-12 populations
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide school counseling services to K-12 students, supporting emotional, behavioral, and academic development
  • Perform comprehensive Behavior Threat Assessments and design corresponding intervention plans
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to best serve student needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to compliance standards and ethical guidelines
  • Participate in crisis response, individual and group counseling, and preventative programming
