As a key member of the Student Support Services team, you’ll help shape and implement essential behavior strategies that impact individual students, classrooms, and the overall school culture.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education endorsements
  • Background in special education, social work, counseling, or a related discipline
  • Experience as a school counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), BCBA, or in psychology/social work considered a strong asset
  • Practical experience developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and responding to classroom behavioral challenges

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative and evidence-based behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs
  • Conduct thorough FBAs to assess and understand student behaviors
  • Take part in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings, collaborating with school teams to build comprehensive support plans
  • Provide on-the-ground support to teachers and staff, ensuring strategies are effective and students feel empowered
  • Respond to crisis intervention needs and assist in de-escalating challenging situations with poise and professionalism
  • Foster positive relationships among students, families, and staff to encourage an inclusive learning environment

This position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and offers a starting pay of $30+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
