School Counselor - Montgomery, Texas

Make a meaningful impact in the academic and emotional growth of students by providing essential counseling support. This flexible, part-time contract position involves working closely with another counselor to offer services to a small caseload of approximately 15 students. You will contribute to student well-being in a collaborative environment where your expertise and preferences help shape your assignment, whether at the high school or at the elementary/middle school level.

Key Qualifications:

• Holds a current LPC license in Texas, or is a Special Education Certified Counselor if not LPC-licensed
• Previous school counseling experience is highly valued
• Ability to manage confidential student information with professionalism
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility to split hours and caseload with another part-time counselor
• Committed to supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral success

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling services to a diverse group of students, with an approximate caseload of 15
• Collaborate with school staff, administration, and families to develop personalized student plans
• Maintain ongoing records and documentation in compliance with school policy and regulatory standards
• Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and emotionally to help them reach their full potential
• Participate in team meetings and contribute professional insight and recommendations
• Clearly communicate preferences for working with high school or elementary/middle school students during the application process
