Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Counselor.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to help the student address academic, social, emotional, or behavioral concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized strategies and goals tailored to the student’s unique needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential case notes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents as appropriate, always ensuring the student’s privacy.
  • Deliver support that aligns with best practices in school counseling and current ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team as needed.
