Provide specialized mental health support to students through Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) within an urban school district setting. This itinerant role serves multiple school locations, focusing on early childhood through transition-age youth, working on-site across various district schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver counseling and mental health services aligned with ERMHS guidelines to support student emotional and behavioral needs.
- Manage a caseload of students districtwide, providing crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group support.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and external agencies to develop and implement effective mental health support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and California state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and develop transition plans for students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
- Valid California license in one of the following: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Minimum 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience including passing California Law & Ethics exam and relevant clinical licensing exams.
- Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and adherence to all state licensure requirements.
- Ability to complete Live Scan fingerprinting and successfully pass background check.
- Experience working in school-based mental health services preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
Location: Oakland, CA (on-site only, districtwide locations).
