Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid ADE Endorsement as a School Counselor or Social Worker (required)
• Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting is highly valued
• Ability to develop rapport and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
• Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity working with diverse student populations
• Proficiency in group facilitation, conflict resolution, and individual counseling
• Organized, positive, and a flexible team player

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being, academic achievement, and social development
• Assist students in overcoming obstacles affecting their performance or attendance
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs and coordinate interventions
• Develop and implement programs for conflict resolution, peer relationships, anxiety management, and positive school climate
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with ethical and legal standards
• Participate in student support team meetings, staff development, and professional growth opportunities
