This opportunity is designed for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide supportive counseling services within a K-12 school setting. The position is part-time and available immediately, extending through the end of the school year. The role offers a chance to foster the emotional and social development of students while collaborating with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group counseling sessions tailored to students’ needs
- Assist students in developing coping strategies and addressing behavioral issues
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with confidentiality guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to intervention planning
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid LPC license required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong understanding of family dynamics, adolescent development, and mental health issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an educational environment
