Step into a pivotal role supporting student success as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. In this dynamic, full-time contract opportunity near Plano, TX, you’ll work closely with students, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to create positive learning environments where every student’s needs are addressed.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in special education, counseling, social work, or behavior analysis who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in school communities. Your expertise will shape and guide behavioral interventions, providing support for both preventative measures and crisis situations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid TX teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsements
  • Background in special education, social work, school counseling, or related field
  • LPC, BCBA, psychology, or RBT credentials highly desirable
  • Strong experience developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented communicator

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor, and support individualized BIPs
  • Perform FBAs to assess student needs and inform interventions
  • Actively participate in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings
  • Work directly with teachers to support classrooms and address crisis intervention needs
  • Provide ongoing consultation and training to staff on behavior management strategies

This is a full-time role with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Compensation starts at $30+ per hour, commensurate with experience.
