School Counselor in Port Aransas, TX

This contract opportunity allows you to work closely with a diverse caseload of 44 students, spanning grades 1–12, across six conveniently located campuses—all within walking distance of one another. The role offers 15–20 hours per week, starting as soon as possible, supporting the unique needs of students through both direct counseling and consultation services.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current LPC license required
• Strong background in school-based counseling practices
• Comfortable providing both direct counseling and consultative support to students
• Experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school ages (grades 1–12)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to manage a small yet diverse caseload with varying needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive, solution-focused counseling to students needing direct services
• Offer consultative guidance to staff and families regarding social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement intervention plans
• Maintain clear and confidential case documentation
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students across campuses
