Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a school counselor working across elementary through secondary grade levels. This position begins as early as the week of August 17—and may have a start the week of September 7 based on the final budget—with the assignment extending through May 17, 2027. The role covers district-wide needs, but all sessions will be scheduled on the same campus to streamline your day and reduce travel.

In this role, you'll provide essential support to students, including those with emotional disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and more. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to ensure students receive comprehensive guidance and counseling services that foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current LPC credential required
  • Background in counseling, particularly in school settings
  • Demonstrated experience serving students with disabilities, such as emotional disabilities, autism, or intellectual impairments
  • Knowledgeable about behavioral intervention strategies and student support programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling sessions for students across grade levels
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to diverse students’ needs
  • Work with staff and administration to promote a safe and inclusive school climate
  • Offer expert input on student support committees or IEP meetings
  • Communicate progress to families and coordinate with outside providers when necessary

This contract position is scheduled for two days per week, eight hours per day, allowing you to make a difference while maintaining balance. Assignments are designed to minimize driving, with all work conveniently located on the same campus.
