Make an impact supporting students through Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) across a dynamic, diverse district near San Francisco, CA. Multiple contract opportunities are available for experienced, dedicated mental health professionals eager to provide counseling and critical support to K-12 students as part of an itinerant, districtwide team. These on-site roles run from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, working a 35-hour weekly schedule and serving students from Early Childhood through Transition age groups.
Qualifications & Licensure Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- Registered Associate (AMFT, APCC, or ASW) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), actively accruing hours toward licensure (a valid BBS number is required)
- At least 3,000 hours of supervised experience over at least 104 weeks
- Must have passed or be prepared to pass the California Law and Ethics Exam and relevant clinical licensing tests (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW)
- Live Scan fingerprinting and background check required
- Familiarity with school-based and K-12 mental health services is highly desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver ERMHS counseling and mental health services onsite to students with IEPs, districtwide
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with legal and district mandates
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to develop and implement student support plans
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in supervision as required for licensure accrual
