Take your expertise in school counseling to the next level by supporting students’ mental health and well-being across multiple sites in a vibrant, diverse community. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) as part of a committed district-wide initiative for the 2026-2027 school year. Bilingual Spanish speakers are required to meet the linguistic needs of the population.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to provide services to Spanish-speaking students and families.
- Hold an active Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration number—fully licensed as LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, or registered as an AMFT, APCC, or ASW working toward full licensure.
- Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Can provide at least 3,000 hours of supervised work experience (completed or in progress).
- Successful completion of the California Law & Ethics and relevant clinical licensing exams.
- Able and willing to work on-site across up to three school locations (itinerant/EC-Transition caseload).
- Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting and background check.
- Ready to provide two completed supervisor references and proof of current license/registration.
- For associates, open to accruing supervised hours (supervision will be arranged; associate role welcome).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver ERMHS interventions to students pre-K through transition age across multiple school sites.
- Partner with educators, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation complying with state and district policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to improved mental health outcomes districtwide.
