Empower students as a dedicated mental health professional providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) across a dynamic school district near San Mateo, CA. This contract opportunity (August 11, 2026 to June 2, 2027) brings impactful support to K-12 learners within a collaborative, on-site setting at multiple district locations. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have an ACTIVE Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) number (status verified at https://search.dca.ca.gov/)
  • Hold an appropriate California license (LPCC, LMFT, LCSW) OR be an Associate (AMFT, APCC, ASW) actively accruing hours under supervision towards full licensure
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field required
  • Minimum of 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (for those fully licensed)
  • Successful completion of the California Law & Ethics exam and your clinical licensing exam
  • Familiarity with school-based mental health interventions and diverse student needs
  • Live Scan fingerprint background clearance required
  • After interview: Able to provide two completed supervisor references

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct mental health interventions to EC–Transition aged students districtwide
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student-specific ERMHS plans
  • Maintain compliant, accurate documentation per district and licensure standards
  • Travel between multiple school locations to meet caseload needs
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development
