Make a meaningful difference in student lives by providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) across multiple school sites. This contract position offers the chance to work with diverse EC-Transition students, delivering critical counseling support that fosters academic and emotional success. Assignments are on-site only and span the full school year from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, with 35 hours per week. You’ll serve as a vital member of itinerant support teams, with up to three schools needing your expertise districtwide.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English (Bilingual Spanish speakers only; non-negotiable)
  • Active and valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration or license number (check here: https://search.dca.ca.gov/)
  • Accepted license/registration: LPCC, LMFT, LCSW or AMFT, APCC, ASW associates working toward full licensure (cost of required supervision is handled separately)
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field
  • At least 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (for fully licensed candidates); associates must be accumulating hours under supervision
  • Live Scan fingerprinting (background check) required
  • Must provide two completed supervisor references

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver ERMHS counseling in individual and group settings, supporting EC-Transition students’ mental health and success
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to assess student needs and develop strategies or interventions
  • Maintain accurate records, session notes, and progress updates as required by district and state regulations
  • Travel between assigned schools as an itinerant provider
