Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students as a valued LVN in a vibrant educational environment near Santa Maria, CA. In this role, you’ll be an essential member of a dedicated LVN pool, collaborating with school counselors and other professionals to provide top-tier care and support throughout the academic year. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, to August 6, 2027, with opportunities to opt into Extended School Year (ESY) hours if desired.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California LVN license
- Previous experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic caseloads and varying daily needs
- Compassionate approach to supporting students’ health and well-being
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide health care services to students, both in a pool and, when needed, on a 1:1 basis
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies
- Administer medications and assist with daily care routines
- Collaborate with counselors and educational staff to support student success
- Respond to health emergencies promptly and professionally
- Promote a safe and welcoming environment for all students
Position Highlights:
- Onsite role, allowing for hands-on connection and student interaction
- Scheduled for 32.5 hours per week during the regular school year, 6.5 hours per day
- Flexible opt-in for ESY hours
