School Counselor in Spotsylvania, VA

Desired Background & Credentials:

• Master’s degree earned from a regionally accredited college or university
• Successful completion of a state-approved counselor preparation program
• Eligible for a Virginia school counseling license or endorsement as required by the district
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and adults
• Prior counseling experience in a school setting is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver academic, career, and social-emotional counseling for students at the elementary level
• Assess student needs, progress, and well-being, providing strategies for success
