Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to secure the required Virginia counseling license or endorsement as specified by the district

• Excellent communication, organization, and confidentiality skills
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive counseling services to elementary students, addressing academic, career, and personal/social needs
• Conduct assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and progress
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop effective support plans
• Offer consultations, interventions, and referrals as needed
• Maintain accurate student records, ensuring confidentiality at all times
• Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and engaging school climate
