Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Previous experience with PreK-12 populations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of accommodations, IEP processes, and educational planning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to collaborate with staff, families, and students to ensure successful learning outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Support a manageable caseload of 8 students across PreK-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instructional support and communication strategies
- Advocate for student needs within school teams
- Monitor and document student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
