Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH Specialist)
- Experience working with high school students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a virtual learning environment
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting instruction to student needs
- Comfortable using technology to deliver engaging, effective remote instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to one high school student (10 hours per week)
- Develop individualized lesson plans and resources tailored to the student’s unique learning and communication needs
- Collaborate with school staff and family members to monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Support the student’s academic goals and promote self-advocacy skills
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within school guidelines
