Make a difference in the lives of students by providing specialized support as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This contract opportunity is entirely virtual and offers a chance to work with students in Wisconsin in a part-time capacity, approximately 20 hours per week. You’ll develop and deliver tailored educational experiences from the comfort of your own home, while collaborating with dedicated educational teams.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certified as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  • Direct experience working within Wisconsin’s educational system and familiarity with state-specific processes
  • Prior work with virtual learning settings and comfort with remote technology platforms
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance under IDEA
  • Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating with families and school staff

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored for virtual instruction
  • Deliver both direct and consultative services as specified in students’ IEPs
  • Collect, document, and analyze data on student progress toward IEP goals
  • Participate actively in virtual IEP meetings while ensuring all documentation is compliant with IDEA requirements
  • Serve as a supportive resource for students, families, and colleagues, adapting services to meet each child’s unique needs
