A school district in Bayfield, WI is seeking a skilled Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time (20 hours per week) contract position offers the opportunity to support students with hearing impairments through a fully virtual format. Applicants must have experience working within Wisconsin and possess knowledge of the state’s special education processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) specifically tailored for virtual learning environments
  • Provide both direct instruction and consultative services aligned with student IEPs
  • Collect and document data on student progress toward IEP goals to ensure measurable outcomes
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings while maintaining compliance with IDEA requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing specialist or teacher
  • Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within Wisconsin schools
  • Strong understanding of Wisconsin’s special education laws, procedures, and IDEA compliance
  • Ability to effectively deliver instruction and support in a virtual setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for collaboration with educators, families, and administrators

Location & Schedule:

  • Position is fully virtual
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Based in Bayfield, Wisconsin service area
