Preferred experience and qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or related field

  • Strong understanding of language development and communication modalities, including ASL and/or other communication tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, families, and support staff
  • Commitment to individualized support and adapting instruction based on student needs
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and interventions to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate to develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations
  • Support classroom teachers in the use of communication strategies and accessible materials
  • Advocate for student needs and create an inclusive school environment
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes
