Key Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts DHH (DESE) Certification required; candidates with SPED certification and demonstrated Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) experience may be considered.
• Previous teaching experience in a specialized Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar SPED classroom strongly preferred.
• Expertise in adapting curriculum, utilizing assistive technology, and providing individualized support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with related service providers, classroom staff, and families.
• Strong organizational, communication, and advocacy skills.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to a consistent caseload of five students with hearing differences.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that reflect each student's unique needs and abilities.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment, using best practices and accessible teaching materials.
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and participate in team meetings.
• Serve as a resource for staff and family members, sharing strategies to enhance student development.
