A contract opportunity is available for an experienced professional to provide specialized instruction in a classroom setting, working full-time throughout the school year. This position offers a year-round schedule near vibrant Boston, MA, with a unique four-day work week during the summer months—Fridays are always free for you to recharge.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Massachusetts DHH (DESE) certification required; Special Education (SPED) certification may be considered with prior Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) experience
  • Background in teaching or supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong understanding of language development and educational strategies for students with hearing differences
  • Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and accessible classroom environment
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaboration with fellow educators and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily instruction to a small caseload of five students
  • Implement individualized education plans and track student progress
  • Adapt curriculum resources to meet diverse learning needs
  • Foster a supportive and communicative classroom culture
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to maximize student outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and external service providers
