Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
  • Previous experience working as a Teacher or Specialist for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with assistive technology, accommodations, and modifications
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Passion for empowering students of all abilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support services to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies
  • Liaise with families, staff, and service providers to advocate for student needs
  • Implement assistive technology and augmentative communication tools
  • Progress monitor student achievement and maintain accurate records
