Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state credentials as required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably as a VOCO DHH or similar role
- Strong technology skills for virtual instruction and communication
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and school teams
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide specialized instruction to Deaf/Hard of Hearing elementary students, both onsite and via virtual platforms (VOCO DHH)
- Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and service providers to support student success
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and monitor student progress
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and accessible classroom environment
