All students on your caseload—just eight in total—are conveniently located at a single district center, allowing you to provide targeted, consistent support.

This full-time role offers 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through mid-June of 2026. Compensation for this opportunity ranges from $40 to $50 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist (or related area)
  • Experience working with children in elementary grades
  • Strong understanding of hearing assistive technology, including FM systems and cochlear implants
  • Fluent or highly proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and families
  • Solid grasp of IEP processes and documentation

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct services and support to a caseload of eight K-5 students at the district center
  • Collaborate with educational staff to adapt curriculum and classroom environments
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized educational plans
  • Teach self-advocacy, communication strategies, and listening skills tailored to each student
  • Support classroom teachers with accommodations and instructional modifications
