Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as an Educational Audiologist, Speech Language Pathologist with American Sign Language (ASL) credentials, or a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
  • Strong knowledge of auditory assessment, assistive listening devices, and communication strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff.
  • Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations for students with hearing loss.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearing screenings, assessments, or evaluations as appropriate to your discipline.
  • Provide direct services, instructional support, or therapeutic interventions to students.
  • Train and consult with educators, staff, and families regarding communication strategies and assistive technologies.
  • Develop and implement plans to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with required documentation.
