A specialized teaching opportunity is available for a professional with expertise in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. This contract position supports students in a school setting, providing both direct instruction and consultative services tailored to their unique communication and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 100 minutes per week of direct instruction focused on Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Provide 180 minutes per month of consultative services to support inclusive education practices.
  • Offer Extended School Year (ESY) services from June 15, 2026, to July 24, 2026 (Monday through Friday).
  • Provide Hearing Itinerant Services, including 100 minutes per week of direct instruction and 75 minutes per month of consultation during ESY.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant communication methods.
  • Experience with itinerant services and consultative educational roles.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Position Type: Contract (Regular School Year with Extended School Year services)
