Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with a specialization or endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a range of ages
• Comprehensive understanding of instructional strategies, language acquisition, and communication modalities for DHH students (e.g., sign language, cued speech, auditory-oral methods)
• Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with general educators, interpreters, support staff, and families
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with varying levels of hearing ability
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment commonly used in DHH education
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting curriculum to ensure accessibility and success
