This contract position, beginning August 10, 2026 and running through May 24, 2027, offers an opportunity to support and empower a small, diverse group of PreK-12 learners. Required Qualifications:
- State certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience teaching or supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school settings
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication strategies for D/HH students
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instructional methods
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and instructional support to a caseload of 8 PreK-12 students
- Assess students’ needs and design individualized goals tailored to each learner
- Serve as an advocate and resource for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and their families
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to support inclusive practices
- Monitor progress, provide feedback, and adjust instructional approaches as needed
