Enjoy engaging days from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, with the added perk of a 4-day work week during the summer—Fridays off to recharge or enjoy personal pursuits. This contract role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week in a year-round school environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Massachusetts DHH (DESE) certification required; candidates with SPED certification and proven Teacher of the Deaf experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or similar roles in school settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams.
  • Commitment to applying best practices for accessible, individualized instruction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, adapting content to each learner’s strengths and needs.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilize creative instructional strategies to foster language, literacy, and social/emotional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
