Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Opening – 26/27 School Year

Details:

• Remote or Onsite Position

• Full-Time or Part-Time based on district needs

• K-12 Caseload

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

• Support students' academic, communication, and social-emotional development

• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Work closely with teachers, staff, parents, and administration

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Education and Certification

• Appropriate state Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification or licensure

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field

• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred

• New graduates are encouraged to apply

• ASL proficiency or experience preferred, depending on district needs

• Virtual/online teaching experience preferred
