Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or a related field
• Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred
• Strong knowledge of assistive technology and instructional strategies tailored for D/HH learners
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) highly desired
• Ability to conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective, engaging instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in small group or one-on-one settings
• Partner with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and integrate specialized supports
• Help evaluate students’ needs and maintain comprehensive documentation of progress and accommodations
• Provide guidance and training to school staff on best practices and use of adaptive equipment
• Support families and collaborate with related service providers to promote student success both in and out of the classroom
• Foster a welcoming, empowering environment where all voices are respected and heard
