Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher or Specialist
  • Demonstrated history of working within Wisconsin’s school systems and familiarity with state-specific processes
  • Previous experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in virtual educational settings
  • Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance, especially for virtual classrooms
  • Strong skills in organizing and leading virtual meetings with multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized education plans explicitly designed for students engaging in online learning
  • Deliver both direct instruction and consultative support, adapting approaches as detailed in each student’s IEP
  • Track and record student progress, maintaining thorough documentation aligned with IDEA standards
  • Engage in virtual IEP meetings, collaborating effectively with families, service providers, and school staff
  • Utilize creative strategies and digital resources to foster accessible, inclusive learning environments
