Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Newport, KY

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist or Licensed Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with PreK-12 grade students preferred
• Strong understanding of diverse communication modalities, including ASL and speech reading
• Excellent collaboration skills for coordinating with general education staff, families, and specialists
• Passion for individualized education and advocacy for students with hearing differences

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction tailored to the unique needs and strengths of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
