Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Pope, MS

The position begins as a part-time commitment (10 hours weekly), with the unique potential to transition into full-time hours as more students join the ASL program during the year. You’ll make a direct impact by starting with a caseload of just one elementary student, allowing for tailored and meaningful instruction.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or American Sign Language (ASL)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience teaching elementary-age students
• Background in working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students is highly valued
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Enthusiasm for helping develop and expand an ASL program
