Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Rochelle, GA

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
• Demonstrated experience supporting high school-aged students with hearing differences
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement accommodations
• Comfort with virtual learning environments and relevant technology platforms
• Excellent communication skills to connect with students, families, and school staff remotely

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized instruction and support tailored to the student’s needs
• Develop and implement strategies to facilitate access to curriculum and classroom discussions
• Collaborate with teachers and IEP teams to ensure educational goals are met
• Offer coaching on use of assistive technologies as needed
• Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to established plans
