Qualifications & Experience:

• State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or equivalent credential
• Expertise in auditory/oral and/or total communication approaches
• Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for DHH students
• Strong collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Familiarity with assistive technology for hearing-impaired learners
• Prior school-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Assess student needs and contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs
• Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate auditory needs and maximize student engagement
• Collaborate closely with teachers, interpreters, and related support staff
• Guide and educate staff on best practices for supporting DHH students in inclusive and specialized settings
• Consult with families regarding progress, strategies, and resources
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
