Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher preferred.
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in an educational or school setting.
• Knowledge of assistive technology, alternative communication strategies, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and accommodations for DHH students in a variety of settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized instructional plans.
• Work closely with general education teachers and related service professionals to ensure accessibility and full participation for all DHH students.
• Advocate for students’ needs and contribute to IEP meetings.
• Support students’ language, communication, and social-emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services.
