Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher (as required by state regulations)

• Strong understanding of various communication modes, including American Sign Language (ASL) and assistive technology
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and accessible instruction tailored to students’ individual needs
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive environment
