Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certification or relevant credentialing in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or American Sign Language instruction
- Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to adapt lessons accordingly
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers, support staff, and parents
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate ASL lessons to a caseload of one student initially
