You'll provide focused, virtual support to a high school student, ensuring their unique learning needs are met effectively throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher
  • Demonstrated experience working with high school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Proficiency in implementing individualized support plans and educational modifications
  • Familiarity with virtual service delivery and related technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and service providers to optimize learning
  • Compassionate approach and commitment to fostering student success and independence

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual sessions for approximately 10 hours per week, offering direct instruction and support
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to suit the student’s needs
  • Monitor and document progress, modifying approaches as necessary
  • Maintain open, ongoing communication with school staff and the student's family
  • Serve as an advocate, ensuring the student receives the services and accommodations outlined in their educational plan
  • Provide expertise and consultation on best practices in DHH education within the virtual school setting
