Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Educational Diagnostician (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience working with students in grades 1-9 in diverse classroom or resource settings
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, practices, and individualized education program (IEP) processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to consult with teachers, families, and administrators
  • Ability to conduct formal and informal assessments, analyze data, and develop reports
  • Comfortable adapting to new school cultures and working flexibly within a contract role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive educational assessments to identify student learning needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on the development of IEPs
  • Support classroom teachers by recommending instructional accommodations and modifications
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to colleagues, families, and other stakeholders
  • Track student progress and assist in ongoing program planning and evaluation
  • Serve as a resource on best practices for differentiated instruction for grades 1-9
